Appearing in full period costume, author and speaker Rosemary Griggs will bring her unique blend of theatre, history and re-enactment to a lunchtime session to discover the impact Henry VIII’s queens had on Tudor fashion; from dress styles and headdresses, to embroidery and cuffs, Rosemary will explore which queen possibly made the most impact on what wealthy Tudor women wore at the time.

About Rosemary Griggs

Rosemary’s extensive research of Tudor fashion and its influences focuses on Katherine Champernowne, the mother of Sir Walter Raleigh, who was born and raised in Devon, not far from Cadhay House. Also, inspired by Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall Trilogy, Rosemary has written two novels based on the Champernowne family. She regularly tours and performs her unique and popular rendition of this fascinating topic to high acclaim.
