Wolf Hall Weekend by The Tower 2026 – Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June
This unique weekend by the Tower of London will celebrate Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall Trilogy – to include an exclusive performance of her play The Mirror and the Light.
Join fans, friends and colleagues of Hilary at All Hallows by the Tower of London and experience a day filled with expert talks, panels, entertainment and good food.

DAY ONE – Saturday June 6th, 2026 will be a full day of talks and panels led by our wonderful keynote speakers – Tracy Borman OBE, Prof. Diarmaid MacCullouch and Ben Miles together with history and literary experts who will focus on the period included in Hilary’s bestselling novel The Mirror and The Light – 1536 to 1540.
DAY ONE EVENING – we will be treated to an exclusive staged performance of the play adaptation of Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light – written by Hilary Mantel and Ben Miles, and performed by the Tower Theatre Company. The story ends, as it did in real life, at the Tower of London where Cromwell was executed on Tower Hill – only a stone’s throw from our venue.
The day includes a private, gourmet buffet lunch at the wonderful Byward Kitchen and Bar adjoining All Hallows by the Tower, followed by pre-performance canapes and drinks in the late afternoon.
DAY TWO – Sunday 7th June You will have the option of joining a guided tour of the Tower of London or a walk around the City of London with a history expert, or an historic river cruise on The Thames. We will then re-convene for closing refreshments and final words at the Byward Kitchen in the afternoon.
Wolf Hall Weekend is a prestigious event to celebrate and pay tribute to the late multi-award-winning author Dame Hilary Mantel and her Wolf Hall Trilogy. The first weekend was held in June 2024 in Devon. England, and attended by a dazzling line-up of speakers and international fans of Hilary – all of whom expressed their praise for a successful event.
